SASKO French toast with mascarpone, berries and honey

This dish is berry heaven.







  60 ml   milk
    3         eggs, beaten
               Pinch of cinnamon,
               Pinch of nutmeg
  40 g     butter
    4         slices of SASKO Plus+ Oat and Honey Bread
  30 ml   honey
100 g     mixed berries, blue berries, strawberries, raspberries
  50 ml   mascarpone cheese
  50 g      flaked almonds
125 ml   milk



  • In a small bowl mix the beaten egg, milk, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • Place the bread in a shallow container and pour egg mixture over the bread. Allow for the egg to soak into the bread.
  • In a frying pan melt butter over a medium heat. Place the egg-soaked bread in the pan and fry until golden brown.



  • Divide between two plates, spoon over the mascarpone, scatter the berries and almonds and drizzle with honey.
  • Serve warm.


Preparation time: 20 Minutes          Cooking time: 5 Minutes          Yield: 2 portions
