Cape Dried Fruit Packers (Pty) Ltd. Was established in 1991 and is one of South Africa’s oldest dried fruit companies, situated in the beautiful town of Montagu.

Recently this family-owned business decided to spread their wings and add Raisins to their core product range. With that Capedry Raisins, a subdivision of Cape Dried Fruit Packers was born early in 2020.

The superior storage facilities and careful management of stock allow us to supply top quality products all-year round. The managing and implementation of processes to ensure food safety is non-negotiable and of a high standard at Capedry. They have a quality management system based on Quality Assurance in place and adheres to the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and British Retail Consortium (BRC) systems with regular external audits on all procedures.

Capedry who is South Africa’s second largest exporter of Dried Cape tree fruit, shipping a third of the country’s production to overseas markets is also the single biggest employer in the town of Montagu and believes that investing in people allows for continuous growth in staff and business.

Capedry Raisins sources the best quality Raisins from around South Africa and aims to offer this to clients at the best possible prices. With this new nutritious product the aim is to become the leading producer in the Western Cape which will lead to more job creation in the area. Raisins are full of minerals like copper, magnesium, iron etc. and is a perfect ingredient for a wide range of foods.

In order to contribute to a sustainable environment Capedry has invested in solar panels for electricity, paper bags for local outlet points and uses Palm Oil to roast & salt nuts. In the drying process kernels from fruit are also used to heat state of the art ovens for markets that prefer something other than the traditional sun dried product.
